Ladies and gentlemen, we ask that you please take your seats at this time as the program will begin momentarily. Thank you. Uplifting the airways, one dimple at a time. It's time for the Dimple Report. News, laughs, and Dimplified Moments with your host, founder, and chief doubles officer of National Doubles Day, Graceful Grady. Remember, dimples are more than a trait. They're a reason to celebrate. Oh yeah!
SPEAKER_07All right, Dimples Nation. Welcome, welcome, welcome back to the Dimple Report. Now I'm your host, Graceful Grady, founder of National Dimples Day. This is the podcast where cheek dimples, cleft chins, and unforgettable smiles take center stage. For the newcomers, here on the Dimple Report, we celebrate the players, entertainers, innovators, history makers, and everyday people helping put dimples on the map around the world. And Dimples Nation, you already know how we like to get things started around here. It's time put dimples in the headlines. The biggest stories, brightest smiles, and hottest dimple news making waves right now. So sit back, smile big, and let's get into it. Congrats goes out to Jose Ortiz. In case you don't know, that's the jockey of the Kentucky Derby winner, Golden Tempo. And yes, Dimple's Nation, Jose is representing the Cheek Dimples proudly on one of Horse Racing's biggest stages, big win, big moment, and another victory for the Dimpled community. Next up, a very special shout out to my niece, Sinaya Lois of Spelman College, a participant of their white coat ceremony. That's a huge milestone in the medical journey and a symbol of dedication, hard work from all of us here at the Dimple Report. Congratulations on the incredible achievement. By the way, she has great cheek doubles, just like our own. Now, let's talk innovation. Do you remember when I spoke of Elisa Chavez? She's the young inventor with cheek doubles, of course, who created the hot seat alarm system just at the age of 14 to help prevent children from being left in hot seats. Well, now she's added author to her resume with her new book, The Inventive Adventures of Elisa. The book is available now on Amazon, Dimple's Nation. I will have that link posted on the Dimple Report website. So please check her out and support her. And finally, Hollywood Headlines. It looks like Blake Lively, Clef Chen, by the way, and Justin Baldini have reportedly reached a settlement before their court date. Another reminder that sometimes the biggest stories get resolved before the cameras ever roll into the courtroom. Alright, Dimple's Nation. Coming up in today's Dimple Spotlight, a man whose cleft chin became just as recognizable as his influence on media, sports, and the city of Atlanta itself. We can say Dimple's Nation, he was a legend. We will be right back.
SPEAKER_08Hi, cute dimples.
SPEAKER_01Is that your best pickup line?
SPEAKER_08No pickup line. Just complimenting your dimples. Did you know July 9th is National Dimples Day? Really? Yeah, they have a fun site and merchandise. Check it out. NationalDimplesday.com.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_04National Dimplesday.com? Got it.
SPEAKER_08May I uh buy you a cup of coffee? I feel something brewing between us.
SPEAKER_04Sure.
SPEAKER_07Welcome back, Dimples Nation. It's time for the Dimple Spotlight. Today, we spotlight the legendary Ted Turner, the man with the unforgettable Clef Chin, who helped reshape Atlanta into a worldwide media and sports powerhouse. Turner believed Atlanta belonged on their national stage, and he spent decades making sure the world paid attention. And who can forget the famous Turner restaurants? From Ted's Montana Grill, which I visited several times, to his larger-than-life personality, Turner always mixed business with bold branding. He became known for his love of the American West, conservation efforts, and Buffalo ranches across the country. His personal life also kept him in the headlines. Ted Turner was famously married to Academy Award-winning actress Jane Ponder, making them one of the most recognizable power couples of their era. Now, before the fame and fortune, Turner's greatest impact may have been the doors he helped open for others in Atlanta, especially influential black leaders in media and public affairs. And speaking of that, you will want to stick around for the next segment called Dimple Drop. I'm going to speak about a woman with Dimples, of course, whose work at Turner Broadcasting and in Civil Rights History became absolutely legendary. Trust me, Dimple's Nation, you do not want to miss it. Now, back to the legendary Ted Turner. Grab your pen and a piece of paper, Dimple's Nation. You know what time it is. It's trivia time. Welcome back, Debbles Nation. Question number one. Which groundbreaking idea made Ted Turner a television pioneer? A. The first sports podcast network. B. The first 24-hour news network. C the first movie streaming platform. D. The first reality TV channel.
SPEAKER_06The correct answer is the answer.
SPEAKER_07B the first twenty-four-hour news network. Question number two. Which famous actress was Ted Journal married to? A Merrill Street? B. Sally Field C Jane Ponder. Or D Goldie Horn.
SPEAKER_06The correct answer is the answer.
SPEAKER_07C. Jane Ponder. And our final question. Question number three. Which Atlanta supporting was also connected to Jackson's influence. A Atlanta Falcons. B Atlantic Breeds. C Georgia Jack Yellow Jackets. Or D. Atlanta United.
SPEAKER_06The correct answer is the answer B Atlanta Breeds.
SPEAKER_07And now, Dimple's Nation, before we move on, we couldn't spotlight a giant like Ted Turner without giving him something larger than life. Because Ted Turner wasn't ordinary. This was a man who mixed media, sports, culture, business, adventure, Atlantic pride, and global influence all into one unforgettable legacy. So, you know I always dedicate a song to our spotlight. We're going to try to bring together the things he liked. Now, according to my research team, me, myself, and I, Ted Turner had a passion for classic and folk music. But I'm going to spice it up just a little bit with the rhythm of reggae, the strings of Japan, the fire of Hispanic beats, and blending it all together in one house. Get it? House? Dimple's Nation, this is the Ted Turner tribute song by Dimple Suave and the Dimplettes Hey, hey, hey.
SPEAKER_11There once was a man with a cleft-chin smile, who dreamed much bigger than the world's own style. Built the end so the news could fly. Twenty-four hours in the sky. From Braves baseball under Georgia light. The hawks fan steering through Atlanta. He brought the trash just to the ice cafe. And made Atlanta nobody. And on a dimple report we stay. You are beside James Bond of the flash and light. Our couple headlines for the night. It's Montana Grillin' Buffalo brains a businessman, breaking every day. Some people follow roles already, mate. Just that never fade. And that's on the bread. And crystal baby followed the light. The dimple report keeps telling the story of dimpled legends rising into glory.
SPEAKER_07Now, Dimples Nation, Ted Turner's story isn't just about media, sports, and Atlanta's success. It's also about the powerful people he surrounded himself with and elevated along the way. And one of those names belongs to an extraordinary woman with dimples, of course, who made history in television, civil rights, and leadership. After this quick commercial break, we're diving into the dimple drop featuring the iconic Zenona Clayton. We will be right back.
SPEAKER_03Oh darling, when you smile at me, there's a magic in the air. Those little dimples on your cheeks.
SPEAKER_07Now, for the dimple drop, we have to recognize the incredible success of Zenona Clayton, a trailblazing woman with dimples, of course, whose impact on Atlanta and America is impossible to ignore. Born in Oklahoma and educated at Tennessee State University, Zenona Clayton became a major force in the civil rights movement, working alongside Martin Luther King Jr. in helping organize efforts to desegregate hospitals in Atlanta. She later made television history as the first black woman in the South to host a regular scheduled primetime talk show, the Zenona Clayton Show. Her influence continued to grow when she joined Turner Broadcasting, where Ted Turner, there's that name again, promoted her to executive leadership roles. One of her greatest accomplishments was creating the Trumpet Awards, celebrating African American excellence, and reaching audiences around the world. FYI, Atlanta honored her legacy permanently with a statute right downtown Atlanta. A reminder that leadership, courage, intelligence, and yes, a beautiful smile with dimples can truly change history. We will be right back.
SPEAKER_10Every curve, every smile divine. Confidence, that's a core. Style in love, we give you more. Flaunch your dimples, there we do. Every dimple, every dimple deserves to shine. The dimple stars are coming.
SPEAKER_12Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the show. Now it's dimple versus let the good vibes flow with graceful Granny on the mic so steady from the dimple report and the poetry's dimple ready.
SPEAKER_07All right, Dimples Nation, let me grab my shades. Dimples sparkle when legends smile, turning simple moments into style. From cheek to chin, they proudly shine. Tiny marks that stand through time.
SPEAKER_02Yup, yum, yum. Yup yah yah yah yah Got them bugs, showing proud. One dim bugs, stay it loud. Love them bugs, you be loud. Under them for the board. Come see the low. I didn't microphone. I need to do this to my bookly for my mama. That's the boomer box.
SPEAKER_07Dimples Nation, welcome to Film and TV, Dimplified, where we spotlight the biggest names in entertainment, showing off what else, the dimples in a lead role. Today's spotlight goes to Tom Ellis, the talented actor known for that unmistakable cleft chin and undeniable screen presence. Many fans first fell in love with him on the hit series Lucifer, where he played the charming and witty devil himself. But now he's bringing that same charisma and intensity to the new action-packed series, CIA. Tom Ellis brings confidence, mystery, and leadership to the role, and that iconic Clef Chin definitely doesn't hurt. Dimple's Nation, one thing about Hollywood, a memorable face matters. And Tom Ellis proves once again that a clef chan can become part of a star's signature look. Whether it's drama, action, suspense, or charisma on screen, Tom Ellis continues to represent for the Clef Chen community in a major way. We will be right back after this commercial break with everyone's favorite Mike Fantasy Dimboot Draft Tee.
